Notary Services
If you are currently in Iceland and have been requested to sign a document in front of a U.S. notary for the purposes of using the document in the United States, the U.S. Embassy in Reykjavik can assist. Notary services are available regardless of your nationality. You must bring a valid government issued ID (such as a passport or drivers license) at the time of your appointment.
The fee for each notarial is $50, payable in U.S. dollars or the Icelandic kronur equivalent. The Embassy does not accept personal checks or debt cards.
How Do I Make and Appointment
The U.S. Embassy in Reykjavik accepts appointments every Friday for notary services. To schedule an appointment please e-mail us at reykjavikconsular@state.gov or call us at +354-697-4448 or +354-562-9100 Monday through Friday between 14:00 and 16:00.
