President Barack Obama meets with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in the Kremlin in Moscow

President Obama travelled to Moscow yesterday to meet with Russian President Medvedev and Russian Prime Minister Putin.  President Obama called for a new relationship between the two countries saying that both could prosper by working together.  Presidents Obama and Medvedev signed an cooperative agreement aimed at reducing nuclear proliferation and in particular on a new, comprehensive, legally binding agreement on reducing and limiting strategic offensive arms to replace the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START), which expires on December 5, 2009.  To read the transcript from the joint press conference click here.
