On June 25, 2009 the U.S. Embassy hosted its annual National Day Celebration in honor of the 233rd anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Over two hundred members of the diplomatic corps, Icelandic government, journalists, businessmen, and friends attended the celebration.
